The division of general academic pediatrics in the department of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville has pediatricians dedicated to providing and coordinating medical care for infants and children in an outpatient setting.

Patient Care
The division provides comprehensive medical care for infants and children of Northeast Florida in the outpatient settings.
Outpatient pediatric care is accomplished in the office setting. This division has pediatricians dedicated to providing and coordinating medical care in this setting. Their office availability throughout the day enhances a patient’s accessibility to care. This division provides care at several outpatient locations within the community.
Education
This division is also dedicated to pediatric medical education. At Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the division actively participates in the educational experience of the UF pediatric residents, Naval Air Station Jacksonville family medicine residents, St. Vincent’s family medicine residents, UF medical students, pharmacy students and other visiting medical students.
For two consecutive years, the division has received the award from the UF pediatric residency program for the most outstanding division.
