The division of hospital pediatrics in the department of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville coordinates hospital admission to the appropriate facility and provides inpatient pediatric medical care.
Patient Care
UF Health Hospital Pediatrics at Jacksonville provides comprehensive, high-quality care for infants, children, and adolescents who require hospitalization for acute illness or medical management. Our pediatric hospitalists specialize in caring for hospitalized children and work closely with pediatric subspecialists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure each patient receives coordinated, compassionate care throughout their hospital stay. Hospitalists are trained pediatricians who mostly work in hospitals caring for children in many areas of specialty.
Hospitalists are dedicated exclusively to the care of hospitalized patients, allowing them to respond quickly to changes in a child’s condition and maintain close communication with families and the care team. Our pediatricians collaborate closely with community pediatricians and referring providers to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions from hospital to home.
Through collaborative care, academic leadership, and a commitment to patient- and family-centered medicine, the hospital medicine pediatricians at UF Health Jacksonville support the health and recovery of children across Northeast Florida.
