Topic: Clinical Genetic Testing: Recent Advances and Practical Implications

Objectives: At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

  1. Review genetic testing options for the pediatric population.
  2. Summarize the cost of each test reviewed.
  3. Discuss the guidelines for testing in the outpatient versus inpatient setting.
  4. Discuss the future of genetic testing.
  5. Analyze trends in Florida relating to research and legislation affecting genetic testing.
