About Leslie C Ravago

Leslie Chua Ravago, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. In 1997, Dr. Ravago completed her medical residency in pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. She also obtained certification in medical acupuncture from Helms Medical Institute in Berkeley, California, in 2005. She has a clinical interest in school health, global health and children with special health care needs — specifically deaf and blind youth.

Dr. Ravago worked at the School for the Deaf and the Blind for nine years and learned American Sign Language during her time there. She has also cared for patients with post-traumatic brain injury and similar conditions after ICU admission at Brooks Rehabilitation Center. She volunteers her time with UF Global Mission Trips in the Dominican Republic.

She enjoys practicing the Japanese martial art of Aikido and is certified Third Kyu by the U.S. Aikido Federation. Her other hobbies include, Zumba, kickboxing, tai chi, qi gong, traveling and learning about other cultures.
